3.4 CANCEL CULTURE
Concerts, sporting events and parades for Purim are canceled less than a week before the Jewish holiday, as Israel’s Health Ministry bans gatherings of more than 5,000 people to stem the spread of the coronavirus. Still, locals take to the bars and streets in true Israeli fashion.

Jerusalem’s City Hall suggested it could also cancel or curb the city’s marathon, with tens of thousands of people due to participate in the March 20th race, including some 5,000 runners from abroad.

We are in control of the situation, thanks to the great caution we have adopted. We have been forced to take very severe steps to slow the spread of the virus in Israel and that is what has happened.

It is a significant advance in Arab-Israeli relations that lowers tensions and creates new energy for positive change across the region.
